PA6, also known as Nylon 6, is a versatile synthetic thermoplastic polymer in the polyamide family. Made via ring-opening polymerization of caprolactam, it balances strength, flexibility, and wear resistance, resisting oils/solvents but with moderate water absorption. Widely used in automotive (engine parts), electronics (casings), and industrial (gears) fields, it’s favored for versatility, cost-effectiveness, lightweight strength, and eco-friendly variants.
